Congratulations to Gilad Goldfarb, Ph.D. Optics student, and his advisor, Prof. Guifang Li for winning the Best Paper Award at 2008 LEOS Summer Topical Meeting, Acapulco, Mexico, for their paper, "Experimental Demonstration of Fiber Impairment Compensation using the Split-Step Infinite Impulse Response Method", by G. Goldfarb, M. G. Taylor and G. Li.
The award was sponsored by Ciena which awarded $500 to the first author, who must be a student.
