The Nanophotonics Systems Fabrication Laboratory has an opening for a technical assistant/research scientist for materials development in semiconductor lasers, MBE (Molecular Beam Epitaxial) crystal growth.
Duties:
- Participate in research and development of new laser diode materials based on epitaxial crystal growth
- Materials characterization
- Growth system maintenance
Requirements:
- MS or BS in Engineering or Physics
- Experience and/or strong interest in materials science, research environment
- Research laboratory experience a plus
- Good experimental skills, highly trainable required
