There is currently one postdoctoral research scientist position available at the Integrated Photonics and Energy Solutions (IPES) Laboratory (http://ipes.creol.ucf.edu) at CREOL. Highly motivated skilled researchers holding a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. candidates close to graduation seeking the position are encouraged to contact the lab director, Dr. Sasan Fathpour (fathpour@creol.ucf.edu), and send their CVs along. Experimental experience in the broader field of optics and photonics is required. Particularly, a solid background in optoelectronics, solid-state devices or integrated optics is preferred. Knowledge and experience of clean-room processes for semiconductor device fabrication is a plus. The position will be awarded initially for a period of one year with the possibility of renewal.

CREOL, The College of Optics & Photonics was established in 1987 as the State University System’s Center of Excellence in research and education in optical sciences and engineering. The College has 25 academic faculty members and 125 graduate students. It is housed in a state-of-the-art 123,000-sq. ft. building dedicated to optics research and education and equipped with over $35 million of state-of-the-art equipment.
